Ojha Honored with Literary Walk of Fame Award
Kathmandu — Nepali poet, journalist, writer and media professional Saroj Ojha has been honored with the prestigious Literary Walk of Fame Award in recognition of his longstanding contributions to literature, journalism, media, culture and social awareness. The award certificate was presented by the Zezabek Bibliomania of Literature Group under its Zezabek Quotes and Poem initiative.
Born in Byas-5, Tanahun, Ojha has been active in journalism and media for nearly two decades and involved in literary activities for more than a decade. A bilingual writer, he has produced poetry and stories in both Nepali and English, with his work appearing in Nepali publications as well as international literary platforms,roughly 500 poems and around 20 short stories to date.
In journalism, Ojha is the presenter, director and scriptwriter of the television program Sachetna, broadcast on NTV News. He has directed and produced around eight television programs across genres, and has written, narrated or directed more than 150 documentaries. He holds a Master's degree in Media Technology with distinction.
Ojha is associated with the Everest Press Club and the Federation of Nepali Journalists, and serves as a Director of the Nepal Chamber of Commerce. His contributions across literature, journalism and social initiatives have earned him more than 50 awards and honors, including the Dadasaheb Phalke Television Award 2023, the UPPA Award 2023, and an Economic Journalism Award from the Lalitpur Chamber of Commerce. In 2024, he was named an International Peace Ambassador by The Daily Global Nation and was recognized with the Bhanusingha Literary Award.
From a young poet in Tanahun to an internationally recognized journalist, television professional and documentary maker, Ojha's career reflects a sustained commitment to writing, journalism, storytelling and communication.
